Nebraska Grown Arts Festival with The Bottle Tops
Spring is just around the corner and we are so excited to welcome back The Bottle Tops to the stage on Saturday, April 27th at 7:30 pm!
Join us for a high energy, fun show! The Bottle Tops are fresh off of a southern tour that found them recording at the legendary Sun Studios, where Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and more cut their teeth. The dynamic husband and wife duo of Mike and Kerry Semrad produce a kindred spirit of music.! Mike is cut from a cloth of both Country Music and Rock N Roll. Mike's uncle Dick Allison toured with the Grand Ole’ Opry in 1958 and Mike’s father, Mike Semrad Sr. was a member of the regionally famed band, The Smoke Ring, from Norfolk. This band had a connection with Sun Records and recorded a hit song called “No Not Much’ which was featured on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand in 1969. Kerry comes from a background of gospel and blues, and lends vocals to Mike’s country and rock influences to make a sound that can only be described as uniquely "Americana". Joined by an onslaught of Nebraska's finest backing players, you will love their unique honky tonk sound! Mike will share family stories of Rock N Roll and Country history and the band will showcase Sun Records favorites and original music!
Jubilee Events & Catering will also join us to provide fun appetizers and a cash bar during the concert!
Tickets are $15/person and they will go on sale March 18th! To purchase tickets contact The Golden Husk Theatre at 308.730.8133, the Ord Area Chamber Office at 308.728.7875 and buy online on shopord.com
