Valley Performing Arts Theater
Board of Directors

Ryan Broker

Ord, Nebraska
I am pleased and honored to have the opportunity to serve our local/regional arts and cultural community as a member of the Board. The arts have been an incredibly important part of my life - and often times my livelihood - since I was very young. I can think of no greater catalyst for a vibrant community than the arts and there are few better connectors, than the arts - as they connect heart to mind, connect painters to musicians, writers to singers, performers to listeners, dreamers to pragmatists, introverts to extroverts,
races to races, atheists to Christians, peacemakers to antagonists, and
bridge the gaps between all of life's tragedies and comedies. I am privileged to have the opportunity to cultivate a creative community that my family and our friends can enjoy and experience...this generation and the next.

Janna Olson,
Assistant Director

Ord, Nebraska
I live with my family in Ord on a small hobby farm. I enjoy helping my husband who is a pastor, homeschooling my children, selling homemade bread and working as the Assistant Director of The Golden Husk.  Growing up a creative kid in California then living in several different countries over the course of my life, I have seen how the arts can bring people together. I am thrilled to help promote creativity and community in Valley County.

The Golden Husk Theater is such an amazing asset to Valley County and the surrounding areas.  I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Board of Directors.  I have enjoyed the diverse and educational entertainment with my own family and am grateful we are able to attend these events right at home.  My children are able to experience and participate in live theater and musical events, expanding their love for the arts.  I am lucky to continue the work and mission of The Golden Husk and cultivate a creative community right here in rural Nebraska.

Dale Zadina

Ord, Nebraska
I am a native of Ord and farm the land that was homesteaded by my family in 1886. I believe that the future of this country’s economy and social status rests on rural small-town America, and I hold a strong commitment to the preservation of the land, heritage and community, I call home. Thus, it is imperative that the political and social organizations that create a strong and vibrant rural community be strongly supported.

Dahn Hagge,
Director

Hometown: Ord, Nebraska
Currently resides: Hay Springs, Nebraska
I have many wonderful childhood memories of people sharing their artistic talents and heritage to make our community special. I am extremely grateful to share in the work at The Golden Husk, along with the Board, to design artistic programming and preserve our beautiful historic theatre. It is an honor to create events and gatherings which showcase our remarkable local artists and attract national and global performers to our rural community. As each of us share our creative gifts, we strengthen community connections and enhance our quality of life.

Darlene Psota

North Loup, Nebraska
My passion for writing grew out of my high school English and Literature classes. My involvement in choir and band developed my love for music.  The Golden Husk is a place where I can continue to use those talents and encourage others to use theirs. It is a place where people of like interests can enjoy the arts while strengthening our community and economy.

I am extremely grateful for the advantages that living in “small town” America has offered me. I appreciate the opportunity to live out my dreams of leadership and community service while continuing to farm and enjoy the great outdoors.  My enthusiastic dream is of a community with a cooperative spirit that focuses on the positive traits of the individuals and the strengths and assets of the local area to give everyone the opportunities and freedom to pursue their dreams and enjoy the good life of rural Nebraska.

I love to experience performing arts, especially music and theater. My contributions to the Husk are primarily in facility quality and maintenance.
