Experience and Vision: After returning to her hometown of Ord, Dahn pursued her passion for rural community development by designing comprehensive programming and initiating progressive partnerships to support the four pillars of the HomeTown Competitiveness (HTC) Development Model including youth engagement, entrepreneurship, leadership and philanthropy. She also serves as a community liaison connecting youth, the local business community, educational institutions and nonprofit leaders to empower new leadership capacity and vitality in rural Nebraska. Dahn works closely with the Nebraska Community Foundation, Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Extension, Central Community College-Ord Learning Center and Valley County Philanthropic Partners to design and implement programming around the pillars of HomeTown Competitiveness community development model. She also serves as the Valley Performing Arts Theater Board/The Golden Husk Director and works to design programming and connect with artistic consultants, performers and venues across the state and nation to bring high quality arts and cultural events to the Husk, as well as cultivate a creative community within Valley County and surrounding areas. Dahn's vision for leadership is to inspire and empower every individual to honor their unique gifts, purpose and passion through contribution to forge new relationships, progressive partnerships and shared vision for the greater good of society.
